A LANDOWNER FUELS REDUCTION & PRESCRIBED FIRE GATHERING

Placer RCD, in collaboration with our local CAL FIRE Unit (Battalion 15), will be hosting Summit2, a knowledge-sharing event for agencies, landowners, and organizations around Donner Summit to discuss, network, and strategize prescribed fire efforts across land ownerships.

The event will include brief presentations on grants/financial resources and helpful science-based information to support prescribed fire implementation (pile burning and broadcast burning) projects. We understand the ‘fire fatigue’ that many project managers and landowners are experiencing. We hope this event serves as a springboard for action. There will be breakout sessions to share lessons learned from completed projects, troubleshoot challenges, and network with fellow implementers. Please share with your local networks (flyer attached) around the Donner Summit area who may be interested in attending. We apologize in advance if you receive multiple notifications of this event.
