ISO Rating:

Truckee Fire Protection District has an ISO Rating of 4/4X.  The majority of the District belongs to ISO Rating 4, with a few outlying areas belonging to Rating 4X.  Of these 4X areas, most notable are structures located in the community of Floriston, as well as any structures in areas without ready access to a fire hydrant.

Pumpers and Tankers by Location: 

Station 92 (Staffed): 11473 Donner Pass Rd. Truckee

  • 2 Pumpers (Engines):

    -Type 1 has a 500 gallon capacities, and the ability to pump 1500 gallons per minute (GPM).

    -Type 3 Brush has a 500-gallon capacity and the ability to pump 750 GPM.

  • 1 Tanker (Water Tender), with a 2300 gallon capacity, and the ability to pump 500 GPM.

  • 1 Truck with a 500-gallon tank capacity and the abilty to pump1500 GPM.

Station 93* (Residential): 15572 Donner Pass Rd. Truckee

  • 1 Pumper (Type 1 Engine), with a 500 gallon capacity, and the ability to pump 1500 GPM.

Station 94* (Residential): 12986 Northwoods Dr. Truckee

  • 1 Pumper (Type 1 Engine), with a 500 gallon capacity, and the ability to pump 1500 GPM.

Station 95 (Staffed):  10900 Manchester Dr. Truckee

  • 1 Pumper (Type 1 Engine), with Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) capabilities 750-gallon capacity and the ability to pump 1500 GPM.

Station 97 (Staffed): 53823 Sherritt Ln. Soda Springs

  • 2 Pumpers (Engines):

    -Type 1 has a 500 gallon capacities, and the ability to pump 1500 gallons per minute (GPM).

    -Type 3 Brush has a 500-gallon capacity and the ability to pump 750 GPM.

Station 98* (Residential): 7300 Short Ln. Serene Lakes

  • 1 Pumper (Type 1 Engine), with a 500 gallon capacity, and the ability to pump 1500 gallons per minute.

*Note: Only staffed stations (92, 95, 96, & 97) are on-call to respond 24 hours, every day.  Residential stations (93, 94, & 98) respond as available, but are not on-call.

Hydrants:

The Fire District does not own or service fire hydrants. Hydrants are privately owned and maintained by the local water purveyor or owned by the Public Utility District in that area. To obtain the most accurate hydrant information, contact the water purveyor for your property.

The District is divided into 10 min, 20 min, and ASAP response times.  However, it might be to your benefit to enter your property address into a mapping app, and find the drive time and distance to the nearest staffed responding station (listed above).
