Truckee Fire Protection District teaches both American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED and Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Courses. Both classes are offered on the second Wednesday of every month at 5:00 pm. Located at Station 92, 11473 Donner Pass Road , upstairs in the training room on the west end of the building.

Courses cost $40.00 and payment is required upon registration. A CPR book is included in the cost of the course, if desired. To register, please click on the desired date in the calendar below.

For large groups (5+ persons), contact to schedule a private class at your desired location.

CPR cards will be sent via EMAIL. Please make sure you have a valid email address and be sure to check your “junk/spam” folder as the E-Card often gets caught in your email filter.

For cards not received please contact us at 530.582.7850.  The replacement cost is $20.00.

Basic Life support (BLS)

This course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. This course is intended for healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.


heartsaver CPR/AED

This course teaches CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages. This course is intended for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
